I was hoping to find Nutritional information such as Carb counts for certain menus, Can you guide in a direction? we are trying to plan for my son with Type 1 Diabetes. He has to have insulin for everything he eats

Hiya, Kate! Thank you for bringing this great question to us at planDisney.

Oh boy! I'm so excited to hear that you'll be traveling to Walt Disney World Resort this May. Spring is my favorite time of year to visit, from the blooming flowers to the stunning EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival! Kate, it sounds like you'll be navigating the parks with an eye on nutrition for your son, which I absolutely understand. I traveled to Walt Disney World Resort last spring with my mom, who also has diabetes, and I would be happy to give you all the best tips we learned along the way!

I know how important it is to track nutrition, meals, and snacks when it comes to Guests with dietary needs. While specific nutritional information can't be found online, my best suggestion would be to reach out to the Special Diets team for more assistance. You can reach out by sending an email to Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com within 14 days of your trip – this is a great option for Guests who either have four or more allergy-friendly requests, require pureed meals, or adhere to a medically-restrictive diet. They'll be happy to listen to your situation and provide you with the next best steps that are available!

Until then, here are a few more tips for you!
    • Feel free to make advance dining reservations for table-service restaurants, if you wish! You'll be able to indicate any dietary requests when making your reservation, and you can ask to speak to a chef or special diets-trained Cast Member before ordering your meal.
    • Make use of the First Aid centers! These can be found in each of the parks and are a great place to cool down, test, or receive more assistance if needed.
    • Download and explore the My Disney Experience app! You can place mobile orders for meals and snacks, allowing you to browse and pick healthier options that might be just right for your son. You can even use the My Disney Experience app to locate First Aid centers! Just tap the map icon (second from the left), then toggle down to Guest Services. Scroll down and tap First Aid, then Find on Map.
I hope I was able to point you in the right direction, Kate! I'm wishing upon a star that your upcoming trip is extra magical. If you have any other questions, please visit us again!

You've got a friend in me,
