We are hoping to come at the end of October and then stay for 2 weeks. Do you think they will have Christmas decorations up or should we come later?

    Hi Paula!

Historically, the Christmas decorations are up at the Magic Kingdom the first week of November in preparation for the first Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. By Thanksgiving, the rest of the parks and the resorts will have their Christmas decorations in place. In 2012, the first MVMCP was held on November 6th, and in 2011, it was held on November 8th. They have yet to release the dates for 2013, but I'm estimating that the first parade for 2012 will be November 5th, so there is good chance that MK will be all dressed up for the holiday season.  If you are looking to see all the theme parks and resorts decked out, then I would suggest postponing your vacation until mid November.  This will give you a better chance of seeing decorations present in all the theme parks, resorts and Downtown Disney.

Hope this helps you plan a magical vacation! -Malanie

Hi there! The Disney Parks have been a part of my life since I was a little girl. Introducing my children, husband, and family to all the magic that Walt Disney World can offer has led to countless moments with Mickey and Friends, Disney Vacation Club membership and fun on the high seas with Disney Cruise Lines! Our vacations are usually centered around a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, and I am super excited to help you plan and create magical moments for you and your families!
