Magic Mirror on the wall, why are there no Story Book Dining reservations after all?
Hollie, I completely understand your desire to dine with the fairest of them all and her friends, Dopey and Grumpy. And then there's the Queen. If you can get a reservation for
Story Book Dining at Artist Point, I highly recommend addressing her as "the Queen" or "Your Majesty." She dislikes being called the "Evil Queen." Her disdain is evident and palpable. Shivers!
Like you, I checked the
availability calendar for this dining event, and nothing appears to be available in November. I chatted with a Cast Member to see if she might get a different answer or a reason from the Magic Mirror. The bad news is she had nothing to share. There are no published closings or other events that indicate this is unavailable in November. The good news is this means there may be hope. She suggested that you keep trying.
Although I wish I had more definitive information to share, all I can say is that this is a very popular character dining experience. And the parks tend to get busier in November as Disney decks the halls for
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, and the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is in full season.
While waiting and hoping, have you considered a reservation at
Hollywood & Vine? During the holidays, Minnie starts to
pumpkin spice things up! I have reservations here in October for the Halloween event. She usually hauls out the holly for a Christmas celebration. It's a magical backup plan if reservations at Story Book Dining remain elusive during your vacation.
Hollie, I hope the Queen does invite you to "Go on, have a bite" with Snow White and her friends. But more than anything, I am sitting by the well, wishing for a vacation that puts a song in your heart.
