We are hoping to afford to take our family of 4 to the World in 2009, however, will need a bit of help from Disney in the way of discounts. How do you find out when they are offering the free dining and/or other great promotions? Where are they posted?

    Hi Kelly,

I think this is a very doable to get your family of four to Disney for a vacation in 2009!

Here are some ways I stay up to date on all of the magical discounts.  I count on Mousesavers.com and Allearsnet.com to tell me what special are being offered. Simply sign up for their newsletters and you should have not problem staying up to date.

Next, register with Disney. This too will help you find discounts.

Also, for airfare, join any of the airlines who fly to Orlando's newsletter as well as travel sites such as Expedia or Travelocity.

Also, consider buying an annual pass for either yourself or your husband. This will give you discounts to rooms and dining at various times of the year.

Over the past years, free dining has been offered in the late summer. It historically been announced in the spring. So if it is offered in 2009 (which there is no guranatee it will be), watch your emails in late April if there is an announcement.

    Have a great trip!
