Hi Julia,
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for visiting us with your Disney Cruise Line vacation question. I'm sorry you are having difficulty booking the activities you are hoping to enjoy. Let's see if I can offer some tips for you!
First, both
Palo and the
Mixology Beverage Seminar are very popular
adult-exclusive events, which unfortunately makes them more challenging to book. If either of these options is unavailable when my onboard booking window opens, I keep checking (even daily!) to see if any reservations have opened. Other Guests change their plans and free up space and sometimes more reservations are released by Disney Cruise Line, so it is worth checking back.
Another suggestion I can offer is to be flexible with your schedule. If Palo is available for another day or time, I would go ahead and book it. Likewise, if there is another day that the mixology seminar is offered or if it is offered later in the evening, consider giving it a go. You could also consider one of the other Beverage Tasting Seminars offered onboard. I personally love the Tequila Tasting. It's not just about margaritas!
Finally, when you board the ship, open the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app and check for two things. One, check to see if any reservations for either event have opened up. I've been on several cruises where additional beverage seminars were added to the schedule on embarkation day, including the ever-popular mixology seminar. The other item to check for as soon as you board is where and when Crew Members will assist with dining changes. I recommend showing up early to the location since there are usually other Guests with requests.
Julia, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! Please let us know if you have other questions; we are happy to offer tips and advice.
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
