Hi, hope you're well. I'm going to Disney in September with my mum and my aunt and I wanted to make a surprise to my aunt and book a dinner at the be our guest restaurant. is there is any way to book the table without her to know ? thank you

    Hello Shaline,

It is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that I welcome you to planDisney today! I'm so glad you decided to be our guest and I'm thrilled you're putting my service to the test to answer all your dining questions.

I think it's wonderful that you're hoping to surprise your aunt with a meal at Be Our Guest Restaurant at Magic Kingdom Park. I had a chance to eat there a few years back and loved dining in the West Wing right near the Beast's enchanted rose. Your aunt is sure to love the atmosphere, the cuisine, and the thoughtful gesture from you.

You indicated an arrival date of September 21, 2024, so you're still a bit early to reserve your spot in the Beast's castle for dinner but I'm happy to walk you through the process. Advance dining reservations are available beginning 60 days in advance of arrival. If your travel party is staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel you'll be able to book reservations for your entire length of stay (up to 10 days) at the 60-day mark. If you are staying off-property you'll be able to make reservations for each day individually as you reach the 60-day mark.

Dining reservations typically open at 6 a.m. EST and can be made online. You'll need to have your own MyDisney account to sign in and make the reservations via My Disney Experience. Hopefully, you're already linked with your aunt via the Family & Friends list, listed as a guest on the resort reservation, and/or have tickets linked to your account. Since this dining experience requires a theme park ticket, and theme park reservation when applicable, you'll need valid admission to secure the reservation from your account.

When you reach your 60-day window, which by my calculation should be Tuesday, July 23, 2024, you can sign in here to make the reservation. I recommend navigating directly to the restaurant's page to search for availability there instead of searching across all restaurants. Select the appropriate party size then search to find a day and time that works. A recent update now allows guests to search availability within a 1-10 day range, which I find really helpful. Once you find your preferred reservation follow the prompts to complete the booking. Please note, that dining reservations require a credit card guarantee to secure.

The reservation will appear on your Future Plans but you don't need to indicate which guests will be joining you when making the booking. Hopefully, you'll be able to keep the meal a surprise right up until you arrive to check-in. Keep in mind that this meal is a 3-course pre-fixe experience and must be canceled at least 2 hours prior if you decide not to dine.

Shaline, I hope this helped. Please come back and see us again with more planning questions. We only live to serve!

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
