Danielle from ME Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

We hope to visit in Apr. '22. The pandemic made us wary of cancel policies. If we buy tickets (so we can make park res.), but end up cancelling, what is the process for getting a credit for the unused tickets? and where is that credit stored/accessed?

Welcome to planDisney, Danielle! Thanks for stopping in with your planning question!

You will be able to get a credit for unused Walt Disney World Resort theme park tickets, so please don’t worry! When you purchase your tickets, make sure to keep your emails, confirmation numbers and all your correspondence with Disney.

If you do find yourself in a situation where you have to cancel your trip and make new plans, reach out to a Cast Member at (407) 939-5277. Have your confirmation numbers handy and they will take care of those ticket adjustments for you!

Taking it one step further, if your unused tickets expire, send an email to WDW Guest Services- Ticket Usage at ticket.usage@DisneyWorld.com including the following items:

-Make sure to include a copy of the front and back of your tickets (if you don’t have a hard copy of your tickets, include the confirmation numbers you received in an email when you purchased the tickets.)

    -Include your name

-Daytime telephone number where you can be reached

-Where and when the ticket was purchased

    -Purchaser’s name

    -Form of payment used

Explain your situation in the email and within a few days, a Cast Member will reach out to you. Disney will send you a new confirmation number. Just link that number to your My Disney Experience account and just like magic, you can go ahead and assign those tickets to guests in your party.

Danielle, I hope this information is helpful. For more planning advice, you can always follow us on social media. Thanks again for stopping by!

    Have a magical visit!
