Hope to stay at Poly in September. Wish to take the tour which involves disneys Trains. No tour starts before park opens. Will the monorail be operating early enough for me to get to tour or will I need to walk to park from poly?

The monorail system begins running at about 6:30 a.m. The Magic Behind Our Steam Trains tour begins at 7:30 a.m. This hour is more than ample time to get from the Polynesian to the Magic Kingdom.

For your general knowledge, although the distance from the Poly and the Magic Kingdom is not far, there is no walking path between these two destinations. It is not possible to get from one to the other on foot.
