Hi i hope i have not left too late but we are staying for 2 weeks may 18th , i would like to book charater dining. kids would love to see mickey, minnie donald and daisy any ideas and if still a chance of getting a dinner reservation at this late stage?

Hi, Elizabeth!  My suggestions are to be flexible and persistent!  Call as soon as you can to (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463) to see about a reservation.  If you don't care which meal you eat, start checking for breakfast availability in the earlier time slots, then check for the later dinner seatings.  I always have better luck if I'm willing to eat early in the morning or later in the evening.

If you go through the dining experiences you want (and to see some of the characters you've mentioned, you'll want to check Chef Mickey's for breakfast or dinner; Donald's Safari Breakfast; the Garden Grill at EPCOT; or even breakfast at 'Ohana) for one date, and they don't have anything available, keep trying the other dates during your vacation.

If worse comes to worse and you don't have a reservation yet by the time you leave for your vacation, keep calling while you are on vacation.  People do cancel at the last minute, and you just don't know when you might be able to get into something as a result.  Again, be flexible!

There are meet and greet opportunities for the characters outside of the dining experiences, so if you don't get into anything, you will still be able to find your favorite characters throughout your vacation.  Just check with the cast members at the theme parks to find times and locations.

    Have a wonderful vacation!
