Hi, Chelsea.
Welcome to planDisney. With only two months to go, your trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth will be here before you know it. Soon you'll be flying high with Dumbo, blasting off to Mars and battling Evil Emperor Zurg with Buzz Lightyear. I'm excited for you to experience all the fun of
The Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration.
Your arrival date also happens to be at the very beginning of the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, which means you'll be among some of the first Guests to experience the wonders of this Festival. I love to stroll through the beautiful gardens, explore the exhibits, hunt for topiaries of my favorite Disney characters and dine on the tasty dishes at one of the many Festival-exclusive Outdoor Kitchens throughout the park. You are truly in for a world of fun!
Chef Mickey's is the perfect Walt Disney World Resort Character Dining meal to kick off your magical day. You'll feast on a smorgasbord of all-you-care-to-enjoy breakfast foods while the
Disney Monorail zooms by above. While the Character Dining experience is modified at this time, you can still expect to see Mickey and some of his pals dressed in their finest chef's gear while you dine.
Theme park parking lots typically open one hour prior to
park opening. Since
EPCOT opens at 10:00 a.m. on the day of your breakfast at Chef Mickey's, you won't be able to park at EPCOT before your meal. Luckily, complimentary self-parking is available at select Disney Resorts Collection hotels for Day Guests with dining reservations such as yourself.
I suggest
parking at
Disney's Contemporary Resort, where Chef Mickey's is located, then driving over to the EPCOT parking lot when you're finished with your meal. Alternatively, you can leave your car parked in the parking lot at Disney's Contemporary Resort and utilize the Walt Disney World Monorail System to get to EPCOT for the day. You'll then have to navigate back to the parking lot at Disney's Contemporary Resort via the Disney Monorail at the end of the night to pick up your car. Keep in mind if you choose the option involving the Disney Monorail system, you will have to take the Resort Monorail line to the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) before transferring to the EPCOT Monorail line, so it might take you longer to reach your destination.
I hope this helps, Chelsea. Please stop by planDisney again in the future with any further questions that arise. Have a magical trip!
Blessings,
Alyssa
