Ahoy, Wayne!
Welcome back aboard planDisney! My family and I are eager to set back out to sea later this year as well! We have a back to back adventure planned for November, so I am keeping my eye out for
announcements on both the Disney Cruise Line website and the
Disney Parks Blog. Hopefully, we hear from Captain Mickey soon!
I like to keep my
packing list short, so I typically end up doing laundry during our sailings. In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun!
Self-service laundry onboard plays out a little bit like an arcade game (with a little imagination). To pay to use the Guest washers and dryers, you scan your Key to the World card for credits. These credits are charged directly to your stateroom account. No cash or prepaid cards required! Once your laundry is in, you can hang out at the pool as you will receive a notification on your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App when the cycle is complete and you can switch or collect your laundry!
To make this task easier, I recommend packing a collapsible laundry basket in your luggage. Not only can you place this in the closet to catch your laundry throughout your vacation, you can also use this to transport your laundry between your stateroom and the laundry room. I also pack a few laundry soap pods and dryer sheets with me in a sealed bag. However, you can purchase soap in the laundry room if you'd prefer not to pack it.
Cruise back to planDisney if you have any additional questions before your high seas adventure, Wayne!
"Sea" ya real soon! Angie
