Moms and Honorary Moms, I use an ECV while at WDW. Is there a loop at FW Cabins that would be closest to park transportation? Can I take the ECV on the launch to MK? How best to get to other parks? Thanks --{--@

    Hi Rochelle!

The transportation from Fort Wilderness to all of the Disney parks is the bus transportation. You can easily board the bus while still on your ECV. My mom visited Disney with me last month and she requires an ECV. She was easily able to board the bus using the handicapped entrance. The bus will actually lower down and provide a ramp for you to directly drive up onto the bus. You will then park your ECV vertically in the bus and you can remain on your ECV while the bus makes its way to the park.

There are accessible cabins available. When you make your reservation let them know that you want a fully accessible cabin with a roll-in shower. The cabin is 18 inches wider than the standard cabins and the hallway is wide enough for an adult sized wheelchair and ECV. The picnic table is also accessible and the double beds are close to the floor. The bathroom has a roll-in shower, grab bars, accessible sink and cupboards behind the door. This is a great option if you have limited mobility.

There is a paved path that you can use your ECV on to arrive at the park transportation area. You can review a map of the resort to see the best path from your cabin to the transportation.

I hope you have a magical visit!

    Magically,
    Stacy
