There are two types of military offers, which includes the
Disney Military Salute promotional tickets and discounted Walt Disney World Military Theme Park Tickets. The Military Salute promotional tickets are a good choice if you plan to visit for four or more days. This offer is available as 4-Day, 5-Day, or 6-Day tickets with the Park Hopper or Park Hopper Plus option. This year there is also a bonus offer with the Disney Celebrates America Military Salute Ticket. This is a good choice if you plan to spend more than six days in the parks or want to visit more than once throughout the year. With this ticket, you will have access to all four Walt Disney World theme parks from January 1 through December 18, 2026, with the exception of blackout periods from March 29 through April 11, 2026 and November 22 through November 28, 2026. Both of these Military Salute offers can be purchased at your local base ticket office, any ticket window at Walt Disney World Resort, or the Shades of Green Resort. Be sure to read the eligibility requirements. You will be charged applicable sales tax if you purchase them at a Walt Disney World ticket window, but they will be tax-free at your military base or Shades of Green.
Laurie, it sounds like maybe you plan to visit for a shorter time since you mentioned only
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. If that’s the case, a better fit for you might be the Walt Disney World Military Theme Park Tickets. These discounted tickets can be purchased for as little as 1-Day admission. If you plan to only visit Animal Kingdom Park, you will not need the Park Hopper option. Check with your local base or Shades of Green for current rates. Tickets are generally about 10% less than you’d pay at the gate for 1-Day or 2-Day tickets, subject to change, and savings can be higher on more days of admission. These tickets are not available at Walt Disney World Resort ticket windows.
