    I have my honeymoon trip booked over the fourth of July. Is there anything special going on for Independence Day?

    Hi Evelyn,

    Walt Disney World is the perfect place for a honeymoon!

    Specific plans for July 4, 2012, have not yet been announced. However, typically there are special fireworks shows at the Magic Kingdom on July 3 and July 4. The parks also often stay open until well after midnight, sometimes into the wee hours of the morning.

    I will caution you that July 4 is often one of the busiest days of the year at Walt Disney World. The crowds can be fun for a celebration, but if you'd rather watch the fireworks from afar, you are welcome to sit on the beach at the Polynesian to do that.

    Also in the past there has been a special patriotic addendum to the Illuminations show at Epcot and a special dance party at Disney's Hollywood Studios on July 4.

    Try checking back in a month or so to see if we have more specifics for this year's celebration.
