We’re going home in Dec and will have 6day hoppers. We want to upgrade once we get there to the Annual PlatniumPass. I’ve seen a mix of calendars for blackout dates. If we were to upgrade to the PlatniumPass will there be any blackout dates for that pass?

    Hey there, Annie!

We have always found a Walt Disney World annual pass to be a great investment for our family. As Disney Vacation Club members, we visit at least a couple of times a year, and having the annual pass bought and paid for makes it easier to plan multiple vacations.

The Disney Platinum Annual Pass has no blockout dates - woohoo! You can get a full year of magic with that pass, plus free standard parking, park hopping abilities (oh, I love being able to spend a morning at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park, when the animals are more lively, then having dinner at Epcot), and all of your Disney PhotoPass downloads. It's a great pass to have.

If you think you might visit the water parks on your upcoming visits, check out the Disney Platinum Plus Pass. This bump up gets you all of the benefits of a Platinum pass, but you'll also have unlimited water parks visits, access to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, plus greens fees at Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course.

Your pass also gets you shopping and dining discounts, and there are often special resort offers for annual passholders. It's a great thing to have.

Wishing you a year full of magical vacations!
