Welcome to planDisney, Natalie!
Thanks for stopping by with your question.
Character Dining is one of the most magical experiences at
Walt Disney World Resort. Even as an adult, I find myself getting as giddy as I did when I was a little Mouseketeer when Mickey and his pals come by to say hello! Although Character Dining looks a bit different these days during the
phased reopening, I can tell you how delightful my own experiences have been. You can expect your modified character experience to be as magical as they are safe since characters are still socially distancing while greeting Guests. During these visits, we were able to see our favorite pals come by and pose with them for socially distanced selfies!
Hollywood & Vine is great fun as you celebrate with Minnie and friends. I always tell my family and friends to be ready when the characters come out because they sometimes do an adorable dance! Although character dining experiences are subject to change, Minnie is a regular fan favorite at Hollywood & Vine, so your chances of seeing her during your Saturday night dinner are pretty good!
Normally, Guests sitting with a party during a character dining experience would still be charged. If there is a dietary need or issue, I would like to say from experience that the chefs at Walt Disney World Resort restaurants are some of the most accommodating and wonderful Cast Members! You could always speak to someone at the restaurant before you are seated about your situation to see if accommodations can be made.
I do hope you make room for dessert! Whether you’re a chocolate lover like me and get the
Chocolate S’mores Pie or love the Vanilla Crème Brûlée, you can’t go wrong! I would encourage you to be sure you have the
My Disney Experience Mobile App on your smartphone so you can use the
Mobile Dine Check-In feature which makes everything feel so convenient!
Natalie, have the most enchanting vacation!
