While in Hollywood studios how do I take the skyline to get to Yachtsman Steakhouse? How long will it take?

    Ahoy there, Diana.

Yo ho, yo ho, a Disney life for me! I'm glad you followed that crew of swashbuckling pirates across the high seas and landed your ship at planDisney! No question walks the plank here! We'll merrily follow the map to where X marks the spot and dig up that buried treasure (an answer) for you.

Oh boy, you are lucky to have snagged a reservation at Yachtsman Steakhouse. I have heard nothing but wonderful things about the delectable dishes and exceptional service there. I hope to try their Truffle Macaroni & Cheese and French Onion Soup one day myself. Just make sure you go with a healthy appetite so you have room to try everything! Navigating from Disney’s Hollywood Studios to Disney’s Yacht Club Resort for your dining reservation is as easy as saying bibbidi-bobbidi-boo! In fact, the Disney Skyliner is just one method of transportation to get you there. Let me walk you through a few of your options below, so you can choose the one that works best for you.

    • Disney Skyliner: When you exit Disney’s Hollywood Studios, head to the Disney Skyliner station and hop aboard. Your gondola will take you to the Disney Skyliner station at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort where you will have to exit and head towards the EPCOT line (just look for the signs or ask for help from a Cast Member). You will hop aboard another gondola on the EPCOT line and soar across the sky to the station at Disney’s Riviera Resort. Do not exit here! Remain in your gondola until you get to the station at the International Gateway at EPCOT. When you do, exit your gondola and go right towards Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. Between the time it takes to travel the full length of your journey on the Disney Skyliner and walking to the Resort, I estimate it will take about 20 minutes.
    • Friendship Boats: When you exit Disney’s Hollywood Studios, head to the right until you see the boat dock on the water. Board the Friendship Boat once it arrives, then exit when it docks at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. I estimate the travel time will take about 20-25 minutes if a boat arrives right after you do. You may have to wait for a boat to show, which may add additional time.
    • Walking: You can take the pedestrian walking path along the water’s edge and walk from Disney’s Hollywood Studios to Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. This may be the fastest route, as you set the pace, but I estimate it to take about 20 minutes. Of course, if your feet are already tired from a long day in the parks, this may not be your best bet.
    • Bus Service: When you exit Disney’s Hollywood Studios, head to the bus stop for Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. If a bus arrives shortly after you do, it should only take about 15 minutes to get to the Resort. However, if you have to wait for a bus to arrive, it could take quite a bit longer.
Diana, I hope this information helps, but feel free to drop me a line if I can offer further clarification. Enjoy every moment of your magical Walt Disney World Resort adventure!
