Hi there Regina,
It is great to see you back at planDisney! Oh boy! It sounds like you have some
Park Hopping plans in your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I love heading over to another theme park later in the afternoon. Not only does it give us the opportunity to jump around if a particular theme park becomes crowded, but we also have the ability to enjoy even more of our favorite attractions and a wider variety of restaurants.
One of our favorite places to head later in the day is EPCOT. It is the perfect destination for dinner and an evening stroll around World Showcase Lagoon. The great news is you will have a number of options available if you want to get from
Disney's Hollywood Studios to
EPCOT. First, there is a
Disney bus that runs between the two theme parks. You will want to look for the marked bus stop location outside Disney's Hollywood Studios and the bus drops Guests off near the front entrance to EPCOT.
If you are looking to test out your sea legs, you can take a boat along Crescent Lake to the International Gateway entrance at EPCOT. The dock is located off to your left as you exit Disney's Hollywood Studios, with boats running about every 20 minutes. It is a scenic and relaxing way to move from one theme park to the other, but if you are in a hurry, this may not be the best option. The boat makes three stops (one outside the Walt Disney World Swan and Walt Disney World Dolphin dock as well as two more at
Disney Resorts Collection hotels that sit along Crescent Lake) before arriving at its final destination. Depending on how many Guests are getting on and off at each location, the trip could take 30 or more minutes.
If you are feeling up to adding a few extra steps to your daily count, there is a path that runs along Crescent Lake, connecting pedestrians to Disney's Boardwalk Resort and then on finally to EPCOT. It is a little bit of a hike, but depending on how fast you walk and how much gas you have left in your tank that day, it can be a fairly quick trip and lots of fun. We have walked it many times with our boys while playing some very competitive rounds of Disney trivia.
Hopefully you can find the perfect way to move your fun from one theme park to the other. If I can assist with any additional planning questions, please stop back and
see me.
Hope to see ya real soon,
Margaret
