Hi there Scott! Thank you for bringing another great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
My family and I usually spend part of Christmas morning watching the "Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade" as we enjoy our Christmas morning breakfast. Every year I giggle because I can remember my Dad always saying how lucky those people on TV were to be spending Christmas Day in their shirtsleeves in the warmth of Florida instead of the ice and snow where we live. A couple of years ago my family was lucky enough to be among the spectators watching the parade on Main Street, U.S.A. in
Magic Kingdom Park on Christmas Day instead of our living room sofa.
The
Disney Parks Blog recently announced three holiday specials. “The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration” will air on Thursday, November 28 and will feature musical performances, holiday entertainment, and a sneak peek into
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance opening soon at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort.
“Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade” airs on Christmas Day and also includes celebrity performances, sneak peeks at new attractions, and scenes from
Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade at Walt Disney World Resort and
A Christmas Fantasy Parade at Disneyland Resort.
Filming for the holiday specials usually takes place over several days in early November. Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade is performed at
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, a
separately ticketed event held on select dates in November and December, and daily for all guests from December 23, 2019 through January 1, 2020.
During the week of Thanksgiving,
Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade will be performed daily at 2:00 pm. Be sure to check a printed Times Guide upon arrival or the
My Disney Experience mobile app for any updates to the performance time.I hope you have found this information helpful. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Have a wonderful visit!
