    On hold now for 37 min trying to modify reservation to get a sale offered - no luck online. Looking for assistance

    Welcome to planDisney, Brittney! I'm so excited you found a Special Offer for your existing Disney Resort hotel reservation. It's like a little sprinkle of pixie dust! Let's look at options for applying the discount to your Walt Disney World Resort stay next year. 

    As a panelist, I call Cast Members often for assistance, and I've found that the time of day can impact hold times. For example, Mickey's helpers can be busiest mid-morning. I have good luck after lunch, so maybe give that a try. When new offers drop, you can expect longer hold times since many guests hope to take advantage of the deal.

    I also recommend calling during the week since the call center can be busy on weekends. If you're an early riser, the phone lines typically open at 7:00 AM and might be less busy that early. You can try the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line to be connected to the correct department.

    Sometimes, the phone system gives me the option for a callback. When I choose that, the call typically comes much sooner than the estimated hold time, so that's another tip!

    I understand the frustration of a long hold, so I have some other ideas. Many Disney Resort hotel reservations can be modified online. Log in to your account to see your plans and scroll to the reservation you want to update. If the reservation can be modified, you'll click Modify Reservation to see your options. My pal Wyatt talks about the process in this answer.

    Finally, you might be able to find help quickly using the Chat feature online. Select the Help & Rules tab at the top of the home screen and click on the Chatbox, which is often on the left side of the page. Have your reservation number handy, and the chat Cast Member will try their best to work some magic.

    Remember, Special Offers are often linked to specific dates or days of the week and have a limited allotment of rooms. I'm wishing on a star you're eligible for some super savings!
