Hiya! We're heading to Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort for Christmas. We're staying in a 3-BR GV and planning to cook daily meals (for 12!)--including Christmas dinner. Should I bring any specific kitchen items? TIA & Happy Holidays!

Hey there, hi there, Brena! Welcome, and thanks so very much for your question.

Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort quickly became a favorite stopping point for my family on road trips from our home to Walt Disney World. It's got everything we need for a quick stay, but it also offers all of the comforts of home if we decide to stay a bit longer.

Brena, for most meals, you'll find the kitchen is equipped with everything you need. When it comes to a Christmas dinner, there are just a few things you may need. There isn't a roasting pan, so if you'll be cooking something like a turkey or ham for the holidays, you will want to bring one from home or grab one of those disposable foil pans. And speaking of foil, definitely bring tin foil and plastic wrap to put those holiday leftovers away. There are knives, but if you use a specific carving knife or an electric knife, bring that with you as well.

The other thing you may want to bring is a big serving platter. There are definitely pieces you can use, but when I've cooked Thanksgiving and Christmas meals, I just like to have a big serving platter. I also bring foil baking pans for my holiday side dishes. Not only are they a great size for a big family meal, but they make cleaning up a lot easier.

    Have a wonderful holiday, Brena!
