Hiya, our first Disney cruise in March and am mega excited, but slightly confused about tipping. I thought gratuities were calculated and paid at the end of the cruise, but I've read that these are pre-paid when you book your cruise. Can you help at all?

    Ahoy Zara!
March will be here before you know it, and your vacation dreams will finally turn into reality! I hope you are ready for a vacation filled with lots of pixie dust!
You have a great question, and I'll be happy to fill you in on how gratuities work aboard Disney Cruise Line. You do have the option to pre-pay them before you sail, but this is not necessary.   Once you arrive onboard, your gratuities will be charged to your onboard account on one of your first days of your vacation.   At the end of your cruise, you will receive pre-paid gratuity vouchers and envelopes for you to pass out to your stateroom host/hostess and your dining servers. Even if you don't see them, they will receive the gratuities since they are automatically charged.
I hope this clears up any confusion, Zara!  Please let us know if you have any additional questions before your day to wave bon voyage arrives!
    Have a magical day!
