Hi Priscilla,
Welcome to planDisney! I love where your head is at for your upcoming cruise. There is nothing better than jumping right into the fun of dressing up and enjoying the magic of Pirate Night aboard a Disney Cruise!
I recently went on the
Disney Dream with a group of friends and we had so much fun during the festivities on
Pirate Night. Several of us dressed up in wild outfits to celebrate including one of us who sported a pretty epic mermaid costume. Costumes are encouraged and a mermaid costume is a perfect way to join in on the fun. The only guideline is that your costume must be family-friendly, and not obstructive, objectionable, offensive, or violent in any way. If you wear a mask, it must be removed while walking around the ship and can only be worn while taking photos. If your mermaid costume strongly resembles Ariel, you may not pose for photos or sign autographs.
Make sure you plan your evening around attending the Pirates in the Caribbean Deck Party! It is a fantastic event where you get to enjoy a pirate show, interactive games, dancing, and fireworks on the high seas! Your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App is a great way to keep up with the event times and find other fun activities to enjoy during your voyage. Our favorite nightly activity was trivia where you can compete for medals to commemorate your knowledge.
During your cruise, I also recommend checking out the
Senses Salon and Spa. We had some super relaxing pedicures and massages on our trip and it made the cruise extra relaxing for the adults! While you are getting your service at the spa make sure to leave some time to indulge in the rainforest showers and aromatherapy steam rooms. They are beautiful!
Happy Planning,
Jenna
