Hi, We’ve been given a $250 Disney gift card. Can we use it like cash in the parks for a few small amounts? just a drink or a Qs meal. And the small total just gets deducted from the card as we use it each time? Or do we have to use it all at once? Thx

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Lisa!

How nice to receive such a generous Disney Gift Card as a gift prior to your Walt Disney World Resort trip! You'll find all sorts of uses for that gift card during your stay. My family and I actually budget for our Disney trips by purchasing Disney Gift Cards throughout the year, so that's how we pay for quite a bit of our extras throughout each trip!

No need to spend it all in one place unless you want to! Each time I use mine to pay for a snack, meal, souvenir, or any other purchase, the amount I spend is deducted and the receipt that is printed shows not only what I just spent, but also how much remains on the gift card. Isn't that great? You will always have an accurate total. I wrap the most recent receipt around the gift card before stashing it away in my bag. Then, when I pull it out to make another purchase, I discard that receipt and wrap the new receipt around the card so I'm always up to date on how much I actually have left to spend.

I hope that helps as you get ready to set off on this magical adventure, Lisa! Happy travels and enjoy every magical moment at the Walt Disney World Resort!
