Hi, We are going to WDW on 1/18 with our 2 year old and 11 week old. We were wondering what kind of highchairs are available in the restaurants? We were wondering if they reclined for an infant or were just the hard wood kind. Thanks

The high chairs at the Walt Disney World restaurants are the typical wooden restaurant-style.  If you're trying to visualize this, go to Amazon.com and search for "Thunder Group Walnut Wooden High Chair." This is a pretty close approximation of what you'll find at WDW. These chairs are great for kids about six months old and up who can sit well on their own.

They probably wouldn't be right for an 11-week-old. For a new baby, I have a few suggestions:

    - wear your baby in restaurants in a front-carrier such as Baby Bjorn

    - bring a convertible stroller to WDW. Snap off the infant seat part, bring that into the restaurant with you and place it on the wooden high chair.

    - ask a cast member if you can bring your stroller into the restaurant. This is not always possible, but will sometimes be allowed with a sleeping child or a new baby.

Good luck and have a wonderful vacation!
