Hi We are visiting from the UK in August and have the 14 day ticket. We check in on the 13th August and leave on the 28th August. Will we be able to use our ticket between 14th and 27th August? I have heard the ticket activiates on check-in day. Thanks

    Hi Rebecca!
    Welcome to planDisney.

I am always happy to answer questions from my fellow guests from the UK, and I'm excited to see you have your holiday booked for this coming August.

When you purchased your tickets, did you specify a start date?  If not, don't worry because the 14-Day Magic Tickets can be used over 18 days.  You will absolutely be able to use them on 14th August, up to and including 27th August. Your 14 days do not have to be used consecutively, so if you need a pool day or want to do some shopping at Disney Springs you can slot those days in wherever you want.  Park reservations are no longer required which enables us to be more spontaneous with our plans.

If your start date is set to your check-in date of 13th August, this won't matter because you still have 18 days in which to use the 14 days of park entry, so if you have the energy after your long-haul flight from the UK you can hit the parks on your arrival day, and also on the day you go home.  If you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel once you have checked out of your room you can leave all your luggage with Bell Services until it's time to go to the airport, so you don't have to carry them around all day.

You can check the start date of your tickets on the My Disney Experience app (on your phone or online).  On the app, if you have linked your tickets already, go to "Tickets and Passes" and you will see the valid dates of each of your family's tickets.   If you haven't linked them, it's very easy to do. If you booked your holiday with the Walt Disney Travel Company International (or any other UK Tour Operator) you will have been given a booking reference which you can use to link your tickets online.  If you have booked a package (including hotel and park tickets), go to your My Disney Experience on the website at disneyworld.co.uk/plan/ , set up an account, then click on 'Plans and Tickets".  By entering your Booking Reference under 'Resort Hotel' 'Link a Reservation', both your hotel and ticket details should appear under your plans.  Then you'll be set to go.  If you received a separate ticket invoice 'Disney Ticket Will Call Confirmation', your ticket ID reservation number can be found at the top of the page under the bar code.

Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions, and you can send me a direct question if you wish, to clarify anything about your tickets, or anything else!  We will be happy to help you plan your magical holiday to Walt Disney World!
