Hi Deborah, welcome to planDisney!
I'm always trying to squeeze a little bit more magic into my Walt Disney World Resort vacations, so I completely understand your desire to take full advantage of the benefits for Disney Resorts Collection hotel Guests. In April, my husband thought I was crazy when I told him we were staying up past midnight to experience
TRON Lightcycle / Run during extended evening hours at Magic Kingdom Park. The smile on his TRON Lightcycle / Run attraction photo was all the vindication I needed.
I'm channeling my inner Fairy Godmother as I share that you are eligible for
early theme park entry and
extended evening theme park hours from your check-in date through your check-out date. That means you can be the early bird catching the shortest wait times for popular attractions before you've even set foot in your Disney Resort hotel. As long as your resort reservation is linked to your
My Disney Experience account, Deborah, your eligibility for the benefit of entering any theme park 30 minutes before park opening will show when you scan into a theme park using your Disney Band, Disney MagicMobile pass, or admission card.
If you're still on the fence about whether or not to book the night at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, Deborah, I'd like to share something I learned during my memorable stay there almost two years ago. Did you know giraffes have the same number of neck vertebrae as humans and are 6 feet tall at birth? I learned this while staring at a giraffe before my bus ride to Magic Kingdom Park. You can have extra time in the parks and incredible learning experiences, too. Adventure is out there!
I hope this information helps you maximize the magic during your upcoming stay, Deborah. Please return to planDisney with any other trip-planning questions.
Choose magic,
Jennifer
