We’re taking a trip next week and staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge. I wanted to know if it’s worth it to take a bus to Hollywood Studios first thing in the morning and then take Skyliner to EPCOT so we’re in World Showcase when the park opens.

Welcome to planDisney, Amy, and Edward! I'm so pleased to be able to answer your question today. One of the things I love the most about vacationing at Walt Disney World Resort is that there is a robust complimentary transportation system to get me where I need to go. Let's jump right in and chat about some of the options you'll have during your upcoming holiday!

Taking a bus to Disney's Hollywood Studios and using the Disney Skyliner to get to EPCOT is definitely possible. I think this is a good idea if your plan for the morning is to ride an attraction in World Showcase, like Remy's Ratatouille Adventure or Frozen Ever After. The International Gateway entrance to EPCOT is open for Early Theme Park Entry for Disney Resort Hotel Guests, and many Guests do choose this option because of the proximity to the two attractions I just mentioned. If you take the bus from Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge to EPCOT, you'll be dropped off at the front entrance and will have to walk back to World Showcase, which will put you slightly behind the people who started back there. If making the most of your time and hitting those World Showcase attractions early is important to you, the Disney Skyliner to the International Gateway is the way to go!

    Have a magical day!
