Hi, We have resevations for Marrakesh on our first day at 5:50pm. We are staying at Pop Century. Approximately how long will it take us to get to Marrakesh using Disney bus transportation and walking (slowly) to the restaurant? Thanks.

Hi Leslie! Belly dancing at Marrakesh is a fun way to kick off a Walt Disney World vacation! The bus ride to Epcot from the Pop Century resort takes only 15 minutes or so, but you may have to wait an additional 15 minutes for the bus to arrive. Once you're at Epcot, you'll need time to proceed through the bag check and ticket turnstiles and walk to the restaurant, which is on the opposite side of the park from the main entrance. Since you indicated that you'll be walking at a very leisurely pace, I think I'd budget an hour to enter the park and stroll to Morocco. (A brisk walker could do it in half that time.)

You didn't mention whether you're saving your energy for the belly dancing or if someone in your party has mobility issues. If you'd like to reduce the walking time at Epcot, you have a couple of options. First after you walk through Future World, you can take a boat to Morocco to avoid walking around the World Showcase. Another option to reduce your walking time would be to take the bus from Pop Century to Hollywood Studios, and then take the boat from there to Epcot. The boat will drop you off at the International Gateway entrance, which is quite close to Morocco, where Marrakesh is located. Taking the bus and the boat to get to Epcot will not be as fast as taking the bus directly to Epcot, but your walking time will be greatly reduced by entering the park at the International Gateway. Whether you choose this route or the direct Epcot bus, I recommend that you plan to be at the Pop Century bus stop by 4:15 p.m. to ensure that you arrive at Marrakesh in time for your reservation.

Have a magical vacation! Come visit me again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! I'd love to help!
