Hi We previously stayed at Disneyworld in 2015 and received MagicBands then. We are due to return in October but online it appears to still associate our previous Bands. Should we receive new ones for a new visit or reuse old ones (if I can find them!)?

    Dear Stuart,

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question about planning ahead for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

How exciting that you have another trip coming up soon! Yes, it's true that MagicBands can continue to function for around three years, but it sounds like yours might be near the end of their shelf life as it is. Are you staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel again? If so, brand new MagicBands are totally complimentary for each member of your party. Since that's the case, you might as well take advantage of that and get a new set of the "2nd generation" MagicBands!

If you do find the old ones and want to bring them along too, you're definitely welcome to try them out!

Hope that helps with your magical planning!
