Hi, We are planning our first trip to Disney in November with our 4 year old daughter. We are trying to decide between staying at the Polynesian or Wilderness Lodge. Is is helpful to stay at a site with the monorail readily available?

Hi Anne! You must be so excited to be headed to Disney World for the first time in just a few short months! Both the Polynesian and the Wilderness Lodge are wonderful resorts. The Polynesian has larger guest rooms than the Wilderness Lodge, and you're right that it's on the monorail route while the Wilderness Lodge is not. You'll probably be spending a lot of time at the Magic Kingdom with your four-year-old, and it is very convenient to hop on the monorail to go back and forth to the park from your resort. However, the less-expensive Wilderness Lodge is also quite close to the Magic Kingdom and offers a fun boat ride to and from the park. While the trip is not as quick as the monorail, it's still short and convenient.  While being on the monorail route is helpful with a little one, I wouldn't base your decision on which resort to choose on that alone. Also consider room size, cost, and the theme that appeals more to your family when making your decision. You can't go wrong with either the Polynesian or the Wilderness Lodge!

Hope you have a magical first trip to Disney!
