Hi! We want to give Yacht or Beach Club a try. Do all the rooms at either have balconies? If so a good size like Boardwalks? We’ve got a toddler so a balcony is a must for us at nighttime. Thanks, Samantha

Hello, Samantha! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I must say, you can't go wrong with either Disney's Beach Club Resort or Disney's Yacht Club Resort. Both are a short stroll to Epcot's International Gateway Entrance, and about a 20-minute walk to Disney's Hollywood Studios. They also share the same beautiful three-acre Stormalong Bay pool complex. However, these resorts have their own unique and subtle differences. The Beach Club has a light, airy feel with a pastel New England beach cottage style, whereas the Yacht Club has a nautical theme with deep wood tones, a neutral color palette, and elegant Martha's Vineyard styling.

I can completely understand your priorities, Samatha! There's no better way to unwind after a long day of walking in the Parks, than with a glass of wine on the balcony- and I'm sure bonus points would be awarded for a view of Cresent Lake! Most of the rooms at the Yacht Club have full balconies (or patios on the ground floor) with two chairs and a small table. At the Beach Club, you'll find a mix of full balconies and mini "Juliette style" standing balconies. Since outdoor space is a must for your vacation, I would recommend going with a room at the Yacht Club, just to be safe. I also suggest taking a look at the subscription-based website, touringplans.com. They have a great "Room Finder" tool that helps you select the best room based on your criteria. If you have your heart set on staying at the Beach Club, check the box for "Full Balcony," and you can see exactly which rooms to request.

Once you make your reservation, call the Disney Reservation Center at 407-560-CHAT (2428), any time prior to arrival, and a Cast Member would be happy to add any Room Request notes for you. These requests are never guaranteed, but in my experience, it always helps. You never know when you might get a little pixie dust during your trip!

Enjoy your stay, Samantha! I hope it is super magical!
