Hi..we are a family of 6 visiting from the UK between 22/7-5/8 2010....please can you give us some practical tips on dealing with the different types of weather during this time of the year?

Hi Margaret! Be prepared to enjoy HOT temperatures in July and August. The average high is 92 degrees Farenheit, and the average low, 73 degrees. But in addition to the heat, expect high humidity, which means it will often feel even warmer with the humidex. With this humidity comes rain, and it usually rains every day, often for a bit in the early afternoon. We always pack rain ponchos, and the rain can be a welcome cool down. Be sure to pack lots of sunscreen and a hat too! And don't forget your bathing suit!

Wishing you and your family a magical vacation Margaret!
