Welcome aboard, Amy! My kids cannot get enough of the engaging activities and events that go on all day and night in the Youth Clubs!
There are age overlaps in the
Youth Clubs, so your kids are welcome to participate in any of the clubs that include their age group. During your online check-in, you'll have the opportunity to register your kids for the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab if they are between the ages of three and 12. Once at the port, they'll receive their Oceaneer Band which they'll wear and use to check in and out. Parents check the kids in and out, though older kids can receive signed permission from parents to have self check-out privileges, but that's up to you.
The tween club for ages 11-14 is Edge. No sign up required. Tweens simply arrive and leave when they'd like for the activities that sound best for them. My daughter has been in Edge for our past three cruises and just adores the independence and older kid feel. Since she's not older than 12 yet, she can actually participate in both Edge and the Oceaneer Club and Lab, so each day, she checks the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App to see what activities sound best, and bounces back and forth between these clubs based on the events. We have rules that she can't leave the clubs without texting us through the app to tell us where she's going and with whom. The texting on the app is free and really helpful for those tweens and teens who like to be independent, but have parents who need to know what's up too!
Vibe is the teen club for ages 14-17, so 14 year-olds can also go between Vibe and Edge. All clubs host Open House hours at times too, so if you have a child dying to try a club that's not for their age group, they can pop in during those times!
Have a great cruise, Amy!
