Hi, We are coming to WDW 3/7-3/12/11. We have 2 boys 6 & 8. We are registered at the Beach Club but I am wondering if they would enjoy the AKL better. We stayed at Wilderness Lodge last year and loved it. What do you think? Thanks!

I have stayed at the Wilderness Lodge, Beach Club, and Animal Kingdom Lodge each several times and they all have unique and wonderful qualities.

If you're deciding between the BC and AKL, here are some things to think about:

    - The Animal Kingdom Lodge is quite far away from all the theme parks other than the AK.
    - If you're staying at AKL without a savanna-view room, you're missing the biggest "wow" factor.
    - You can see zebras from your bedroom at the AKL. 'Nuff said
    - The Beach Club is in easy walking distance to two theme parks and the Boardwalk entertainment area.
    - The Beach Club has BY FAR the best pool at Walt DIsney World. It's like a mini-water park. My daughters have often spent an entire day at the Beach Club pool.
    - There are many more dining options in the Epcot resorts area.
    - There are boat, bus, and walking transportation options at the BC, at the AKL there are only buses.
    - You can have dinner at the AKL and use the night vision goggles to see animals without actually having to stay there.

I don't know exactly what your family's personal priorities are, so I can't advise you 100%. But if I were you I stick with the fabulous Beach Club for this trip. Then I'd book a trip for next year at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

    Happy planning.
