Ahoy, Kathryn!
I completely understand wanting to get your vacation underway when you board the Disney Dream! The first day is always one of my favorite days on the ship because of everyone's excitement level!
I looked back at some of my daily cruise newsletters to check the times for you and noticed the Port Adventures Desk is typically open from 11:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for ticket distribution. My advice is to keep the same plan as last time and head straight to Deck 5, Midship to hop in the line. I'm sure it will move fast, and you'll be enjoying the magic and wonder of the Disney Dream with your Mouseketeers before you know it!
