We are hiring a car during our stay at Disney. Are the car parks for the Disney Parks near to the entrances or is there still a walk or need to get further transport to the parks?

    Hi Clare!

When we visit the Walt Disney World Resort, we almost always drive, so we usually take our own car to the parks!  The parking lots for Disney's Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney's Hollywood Studios are all located just in front of the parks.  The parking lot for Magic Kingdom Park is located at the Transportation and Ticket Center where you can take a Ferryboat or Monorail to Magic Kingdom Park.  If you choose to take the complimentary resort transportation from your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel to Magic Kingdom Park, you will be dropped off just in front of the park and will not need to use a secondary method of transportation to get there.

When entering the parking lot for any of the parks, you have the option to purchase preferred parking, which allows you to park in the lot closest to the theme park entrance.  If you choose to park in standard parking, you can still walk to the entrance, but you will also have access to courtesy trams that will drive you to the theme park entrance.

Have a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!
