Hiya, Stuart, and welcome back to planDisney! It's great to hear from you again. You're getting ready to tee up your
Walt Disney World Resort visit, so let's talk miniature golf. FORE!
You have a couple of choices to play mini golf, so my first tip is to explore the information about both sets of courses. My husband wants to try
Fantasia Fairways Miniature Golf because it's a more challenging course designed to mimic an actual golf course. There's also the whimsical Fantasia Gardens course at this location, so you can take your sticks to both if you choose!
The other option is
Winter Summerland Miniature Golf which offers Summer and Winter courses. Both are themed to Santa and the holidays, so be prepared to hum Christmas carols in the Florida sunshine all day!
All four courses are typically open from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, although the Fantasia Fairways course often closes an hour or so early.
Since there are no dedicated buses to these miniature golf courses, my best tip is to use a ride-share service like Lyft to get there quickly and easily. You might also check out
Minnie Van Service for a festive touch to your transportation.
Using
Disney Bus Service to get to the miniature golf courses can be tricky, depending on the time of year and the current bus schedule. So, my tip is to ask about complimentary transportation options at your Disney Resort Hotel or any
Guest Relations location at the theme parks. There are many variables to consider, which is why I recommend using a ride-share for your golfing adventure. For example, you can walk from Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park to the Winter Summerland courses, but that water park might be closed during your visit.
As for booking mini golf ahead of time, you should be able to do so over the phone from the UK by using the number on the landing page. You can also wait to make the call from the US, but many of my friends have said they've had good luck getting a tee time by walking up on the day of. You can make reservations 60 days in advance, so you're within that booking window.
Stuart, you'll be hitting the links before you know it! I'm sending pixie dust so you'll make a few extra birdies. Please feel free to
stop by planDisney with any additional questions. I'd be happy to help.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
