Hi, Our family of 10 will be at Disney World in December with the dining plan. Can the candlelight processional dinner package be used on the dining plan ? Also, what are the best resorts to visit for viewing decorations? Thanks

    Hi Jamie,

I can only imagine how excited your family must be for your vacation! Your trip may seem far away, but I promise you that December will be here before you know it and the wait will be worth it when you see how spectacular Walt Disney World is around the holidays. And when I say spectacular, I really mean it!  It seems almost every square inch of the parks and resorts are decked out in their Christmas best, so get ready to be "wowed" on a regular basis.

A few of my favorite seasonal sights are at the Disney Resort hotels themselves. If you hop on the monorail at Magic Kingdom and head over to Disney's Contemporary Resort, there was an all-new, must-see addition last year of a “Frozen” gingerbread ice castle that was dripping with sugar snowflakes, topped with gingerbread shingles and surrounded by chocolate trees. Next stop should be Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to see the life-size gingerbread house in the lobby. It's an annual tradition and truly a sight to behold (and the smell is delicious)!  If you have the time, you'll find other amazing displays at Disney's Beach Club Resort (Holiday Carousel), Disney's Yacht Club (miniature train and village) and Disney's Boardwalk Inn (life-size concession stand).

The Candlelight Processional Dinner Package is also a fantastic idea!  It's the perfect way to guarantee seating at the Candlelight Processional and enjoy a delicious meal at Epcot on the same day. I'm happy to say that the Disney Dining Plan will again be accepted for 2015.  If you have the standard Disney Dining Plan or the Deluxe Dining Plan, it will require 2 Table-Service entitlements per person.  If you have the Premium Dining Plan or Platinum Dining Plan, it will require 1 Table-Service entitlement per person.

Wishing you and your family a magical holiday vacation, Jamie!
