Hi..My parents took there first trip to WDW for my 1st birthday 26 years ago and I am taking my son for his 1st birthday from Septemeber 19-25, 2011. What is something going on special at that time that we could do with him or give him for his birthday?

    Hi Ashely!

You are a very special mom to want to do something so special for your son.  When you get to the Magic Kingdom I would buy him his very first Mickey and have his name embroidered on a pair of Mickey ears. Also stop in at guest services and pick up a free "I'm Celebrating..." button.  You can have the cast member add the words  "my first visit and the year" onto the button.  I think it will be a great souvenir for your son to have.  At each park pick up a Times Guide.  There you will find information on where the characters are located.  You can have your son take his picture with the characters.  As for special events going on at that time that would appeal to your son the only event taking place is Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. I'm not sure if you may feel that he is a little too young for this as the party begins at 7:00pm and runs till midnight.

    Have a magical vacation!
