Hi My husband is a veteran and a DOD government employee for the Air Force Can we get the military discount ? Thanks

    Hi Jennifer,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  First of all, from my military family to yours, thank you so much for your service.

If your husband is a military veteran but not a retiree, he is not eligible to purchase Disney Military Promotional Tickets.  Eligible proof of service for these tickets includes an active duty ID, dependent ID or retiree ID card.  There was a short time last year when DoD civilians were eligible to purchase these tickets with proper ID but that offer was not renewed at the start of 2019.

An option to purchase theme park tickets at a slight discount may be at the ITT/MWR (ticket office) on your local military base, as you will not be required to pay sales tax when purchasing on the base.  You may consider calling to ask if they offer multi-day park tickets for advance purchase locally.  Some bases do not keep them in stock but can order them with advanced notice.

Jennifer, I hope this answers your question and helps with your vacation planning. Please come back and see us with any additional questions.

    Best Wishes,
    Amy S.
