Hi! My husband, father, and I are taking our almost 2 year old on a Disney cruise in November. I am curious about the evening entertainment & my daughter. Should we try to go to the shows or just skip them? Thanks

    Ahoy, Elisabeth!

Some of my favorite things on a Disney Cruise are the Broadway-caliber shows. Since you are taking your first cruise, I would highly recommend TRYING to go to the main shows. With such a little cruiser, you might want to try and secure aisle seats, allowing someone to make a quick exit if needed. Your daughter might be too tired, or not be able to sit so long, and the polite thing to do is to leave quickly so you don't ruin anyone else's show experience.

You might be pleasantly surprised, however. The bright colors, Disney characters, and amazing music might mesmerize and entrance your entire family equally. If you find after one night that it is too much for your cutie-pie, you could always try to book the It's A Small World Nursery for the remaining show times.

On the nights where there is not a main show in the Walt Disney Theater, you can take it a little slower. Maybe you will use that night as a night to take some great family photos or hunt down a favorite character. You can also have your daughter get to bed a little earlier on these nights.

I hope you have an amazing first cruise! Please come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel to ask more questions as your voyage gets closer!

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.

I can't wait to help you plan your Disney vacation!
