Hi Denny!
Summer at Walt Disney World tends to be a busy time, and the 4th of July week is no exception. While the crowd levels are high during the U.S. holiday, there will be many special events and even extended park hours during the week. This means that you'll have even more time to enjoy the parks at night. This is perfect for enjoying cooler Florida evenings with lower crowds.
While exact details haven't been announced yet, one of the highlights of the week will be the special fireworks at the Magic Kingdom. You may never experience a better display of U.S. patriotism than the lights, music and pyrotechnics over Cinderella's Castle. Typically, there are two chances to see this show each holiday: July 3rd and July 4th. One great tip I like to share is to plan to see the show on the first night since other parks, like Epcot, usually celebrate only on July 4th. By watching the Magic Kingdom show on July 3rd, you'll experience lower crowds and be free to enjoy the other celebrations on July 4th.
One other great tip to mention: If you'd like to celebrate the show away from the hustle and bustle, a great way to do so is with a
Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing. This special event provides a reserved spot to view the show plus great desserts and snacks to enjoy too! Magic Kingdom also offers the event in other locations as well:
Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace or the
Magic Kingdom After Fireworks Dessert Party. If you're interested in booking an event, you'll definitely want to make reservations soon, as the booking window is already open and filling up fast. Keep checking back online if your first choice is booked up as guests often modify reservations as their vacations approach.
I hope you have a great trip! And be sure to let the Disney Parks Moms Panel know if we can help with additional tips!
