Hi Trudy,
There is definitely magic and fun to be had
all around the Walt Disney World Resort, and visiting some of the gorgeously themed Resort hotels is a GREAT idea!
While any Disney Resort hotel that you visit is going to be beautiful, immersive, and themed with incredible attention to detail, I have a few favorites that I enjoy visiting. First, Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge has to be at the top of my list. Between the music, an amazing collection of art, the chance to view wildlife, and scheduled cultural experiences, visiting here will
feel like you're visiting Africa.
Another favorite of mine is Disney's Wilderness Lodge. While my family loves our Disney vacations, we also love visiting National Parks, and I can tell you that when you visit here, you'll feel transported to the Pacific Northwest. The lobby is breathtaking, but definitely walk around a little and take in all of the details inside and out. Did you know that the Fire Rock Geyser, located just beyond the pool area, erupts every hour on the hour? So cool!
After you leave Disney's Wilderness Lodge, I'd suggest enjoying a leisurely boat ride via the blue flag launch to visit Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, before heading on to Disney's Contemporary Resort. From there, you can ride the monorail around and also visit Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. If you're there late enough in the evening, I recommend watching Happily Ever After from the beach area at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. You can also catch the
Electrical Water Pageant from any monorail-loop Resort hotel. It's a wonderful way to end your day!
Don't forget to enjoy some unique and delicious snacks or meals along the way, Trudy, and enjoy your day of Resort hotel visits. I hope you have a truly magical vacation!
