HI, My family and I will be in Disney World on 4/10/09 and we will be celebrating my son Codie's first birthday. Is there anything special we could do to celebrate his big day? Thanks Carolyn

Hi, Carolyn!  There is no better place to be for baby's first birthday than at Walt Disney World!  I have celebrated all three of my daughters' first birthdays in the Magic Kingdom, and it's become a tradition I hope to some day continue with grandchildren - although not too soon!

You can get a birthday button for Codie at any of the theme parks, although you might not want to pin it on him, but on the diaper bag or the stroller so everyone can see that it's his special day.  Also, when you make all of your reservations - from the room reservation to all of your advanced dining reservations, notify them that you will be enjoying Codie's birthday and there may be a few special treats in store!

If you think he won't be too frightened, book a character meal and order a birthday cake to celebrate by calling the Cake Hotline at 407-827-2253.  You can order the cake for any meal, though, so if he is a little afraid of the characters, you can plan a meal at one of the other wonderful restaurants.

Take lots of pictures of this magical celebration - then let me know where to find them, because I'm sure it's going to be a beautiful album of happy memories!!
