Hello, Angie! Thanks for bringing another great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Le Cellier Steakhouse at
Epcot is my stepmother's favorite restaurant at
Walt Disney World Resort. While a "steakhouse" might not seem like the best place for a vegan (like myself) or vegetarian (like my husband and daughter), I can assure you that the Walt Disney World Resort culinary team has a new commitment to ensuring that there is a healthy, filling plant-based option on every table service menu. If you don't see something listed, though, please feel free to ask your server if you can speak with a chef. Every chef I've met has been more than accommodating and helpful to me and my family.
On
Le Cellier's menu, the new plant-based option is the Steamed Asian-style Dumplings. These Dumplings are made with Bok Choy, Chinese Long Beans, Red Peppers, Radish and the Impossible brand "meat" served in a Fragrant Asian Broth. If you aren't familiar with Impossible Foods, I encourage you to check out the company! Their plant-based meat alternatives have made their way into several Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks as well as the Water Parks and several Walt Disney World Resort hotels, too. I haven't eaten meat in almost 33 years, but I absolutely love both the Impossible and Beyond brands of meat alternatives on many of my favorite
Walt Disney World Resort restaurants' menus.
When you order, make sure to let your server know that you're a vegetarian and I promise they'll treat you right.
Enjoy your daughter's birthday dinner, Angie!
Amy
