Welcome back, Stacey! A mother-daughter cruise is going to be so special for the two of you to enjoy, especially being your very first adventure at sea with Disney!
When I celebrated my last birthday at sea, friends back home surprised me by pre-ordering stateroom birthday decorations for me. When my family and I opened the door to our stateroom for the first time, we were greeted with a floor to ceiling birthday celebration! I highly recommend pre-ordering birthday decor for this big special birthday to surprise your daughter too. You can do so through the
Gifts and Amenities section of Disney Cruise Line's website.
Stop by Guest Services once onboard too, and they'll give her a birthday button. She's never too old to wear a Disney birthday button, and she'll probably love all the extra attention that the Cast Members, characters, and even other guests give her when they see it. Your dining servers will sing to her and present a special birthday dessert if you've listed a note on your reservation that you'll be celebrating. You can add even more magic by pre-ordering a celebratory cake too if you'd like.
I would recommend making reservations for a special meal at Palo or Remy for the two of you to enjoy that night, or some other night onboard too. Now that she'll be 21, she can fully partake in a wine and food pairing at one of the adult exclusive restaurants. You may also sign up for a special
beverage tasting seminar, now that she'll be able to join in on that too. I highly recommend the
Chocolate and Liquor Tasting, heavy on the chocolate, please!
I hope those ideas help you celebrate your daughter's big day, Stacey!
