Hi,Moms We are coming to Disney World and I am bringing my own electric wheelchair. I am now worried about the batteries staying charged. Are there locations in the parks where I can plug my chair in if I need to?

    Hello Jeffrey!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.   It's always a pleasure to help out a fellow Guest.   Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs) are a fantastic way to experience all the magic and wonder of Walt Disney World for those who need mobility assistance.  Walt Disney World does rent these scooters out, but you are more than welcome to bring your own.   While there are not dedicated spots to recharge your ECV there are plenty of outlets available in some great places.   If you are in Magic Kingdom right past it's a small world there are plenty of outlets near the Tangled themed restrooms.    Another option is when you go to a restaurant simply ask a Cast Member if there is an outlet nearby that you could use to charge your scooter.   You get to recharge with some tasty food while your scooter recharges for the rest of the days fun as well.

Another option is to stop by the stroller and wheelchair rental booths located at the entrances of the Theme Parks, the Cast Members here would be able to point out and possibly circle on a map for you the most convenient places to power up.   Make sure you plug in your vehicle at night.  Most ECVs will last a whole day on a full charge.   Many Disney Resort rooms will have plenty of space for you to bring your ECV in for the night to recharge in case you are staying on site.

Thanks again for stopping by.  I wish you the most magical vacation ever.  If you have any other questions please visit us again.
