Hi. Just wondering which water park is going to be open at the start of April . Thanks

    Hi David!

    Welcome back to planDisney!

At this time, the water parks at Disney World work on an alternating basis. Currently, Blizzard Beach is open to guests. We haven’t yet heard any news on when the switch over to Typhoon Lagoon will happen.

I did some sleuthing, though, that may give us an idea of what to expect! Last year, Blizzard Beach closed and Typhoon Lagoon opened in mid-March. We found out the opening date for Typhoon Lagoon in early February. So, we may have our answer pretty soon!

I’d keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog leading up to your trip for any announcements.

If you’ll be a guest at a Disney World resort, I hope you get to take advantage of your free water park ticket on arrival date! What an awesome perk in 2025! I’ve found that there’s something for everyone at the water parks, and no matter which one is open during your stay, you’re bound to have a great time.

It’s good to note that you’ll have access to bus transportation to the water park from your Disney World resort, but there’s often a transfer at either Disney Springs or Animal Kingdom depending on the water park. With that being said, make sure you give yourself extra travel time to make it to your destination.

Last time we went to Typhoon Lagoon, our transfer was at Disney Springs, and it made for the perfect spot to grab dinner before heading back to our resort.

I hope you have a great trip! Feel free to visit us with any other questions you have!
