Greetings, fellow Massachusettan, Carole! We moved to Florida two yEARs ago, but I still consider myself a Bostonian. I love living so close to The Mouse, but hot dog, do I miss a New England Fall! Speaking of seasons, you have picked a fantastic time of yEAR to visit! Spring is one of my most favorite times at Walt Disney World because of the
Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, and you are in luck! The topiaries are gorgeous, but my favorite is the
Outdoor Kitchens. I legit don’t know how many times my family sampled the Frushi at the
Japan Pavilion - it is simply delicious!
So, you are in luck again! I took at
Minnie Van to meet my fellow panelists two nights ago at
Epcot’s Germany Pavilion. Currently, there is not a car drop-off at International Gateway, but you still have a few options. I chose Option A and was dropped off at
Disney’s Beach Club Resort. From there, it is was a quick five-minute walk to the back of Epcot. You can also choose Disney’s Yacht Club Resort (which would add a few minutes to your commute), or Disney’s BoardWalk Inn (which is about a 10-minute walk) as your drop-off points.
Now, the confusion may have stemmed from the other two options you have for drop-off.
Disney’s Water Transportation is fantastic, and you can take a boat from
Disney’s Hollywood Studios or any of the Epcot-area Resorts directly to Epcot’s International Gateway. Also, the brand-new
Disney Skyliner lands directly at the back entrance to Epcot. It flies from Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot to four Resort hotels:
Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort,
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, and the newest jewel in the Disney Vacation Club crown -
Disney’s Riviera Resort. I rode the
Disney Skyliner this past week, and loved it! The view is fantastic, and it is an incredibly efficient and comfortable method of transportation.
Carole, if you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to come back. chEARS to a magical vacation.
